Questions about towing with NevkaR
How much does a tow cost?
A car is $85 and an SUV, pickup or van is $100, with the first 5 miles included. Each mile after that is $4. Our price tool adds it up before the truck leaves.
How can I pay?
Cash or Zelle. We don't take cards. You pay half the price before we tow and the other half when the job is done.
Do you charge extra for a flat tire, all-wheel drive, or a car that won't start?
No. Our flatbed loads those the same way it loads any car, so they cost $0 extra. A car that won't roll or has no keys is +$20.
Do you tow SUVs, pickups and vans?
Yes. They're $100 with the first 5 miles included, then $4 a mile.
Can you tow a car without the keys?
Yes. A car with no keys is $20 extra. Tell us when you call so we come ready.
Do you tow electric cars and Teslas?
Yes. Electric cars ride on our flatbed with all four wheels off the road, at no extra charge.
Do you tow cars after an accident?
Yes. A wrecked car that can't be driven is $50 extra. If glass or fluids need cleaning up, that's $40 more.
Can you pull my car out of a ditch or mud?
Yes. A winch-out from a ditch, mud or grass is $60 for the first 30 minutes, then $30 for each 15 minutes after that.
Can you help with a dead battery, keys locked in, a flat tire or an empty tank?
Yes. A jump start is $80, keys locked in the car or a flat tire change is $100, and gas delivery is $60. Call us and we'll come to you.
Where can you take my car?
Anywhere you name: your home, a shop, a dealer, a buyer. We don't store vehicles, so we need a drop-off address.
How fast can you get here?
It depends on where we are and the time of day. Send a request or call, and we'll call you in a few minutes with the arrival time.
Do you tow in Kansas?
We serve the Missouri side. For Kansas, our partner Midtown Service takes the job. Choose Kansas in the price tool and we'll send them your request, or call them at (913) 710-8929.
Do you work nights and weekends?
We work 24 hours a day, Sunday to Friday. We're closed on Saturdays, and our partner Midtown Service takes Saturday tows: (913) 710-8929. The $40 extra charge applies from 8 PM to 6 AM, all day Sunday and on major holidays. You pay it once per tow.
Can I ride in the tow truck?
Yes. Up to two passengers can ride with us.
Do I need to be there when you pick up the car?
Yes. The owner needs to be there with a photo ID and proof that the car is theirs.
Do you take AAA or insurance roadside calls?
Not yet. You pay us directly.
Do you tow motorcycles and box trucks?
Yes. Call us for the price, since it depends on the size.
How far will you tow?
Up to about 70 miles from Kansas City, as long as the whole trip stays in Missouri.
Can your truck get into a parking garage?
Usually not. Standard garage clearance is about 7 feet, and our flatbed generally can't fit under it. When you call, tell us the height on the garage's clearance sign and we'll confirm if we can reach the car.
Is there a charge if I cancel?
Not before the truck leaves. If you cancel after it's on its way, or the car is gone when we arrive, it's $50.
My car was towed by the police or from a parking lot. Can you help?
To find it, search search.autoreturn.com or call Kansas City police non-emergency at (816) 234-5111. Once the lot releases it, we can tow it to your home or shop. Our blog has a step-by-step guide.
Do you buy junk cars that don't run?
Yes, running or not. You'll need the title, or a government document that proves the car is yours. Tell us about the car and we'll text you a cash offer.
